Nat Faxon

Nat Faxon is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter, recognized for his impactful work alongside Jim Rash on The Descendants (2011), which earned them the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2012. Prior to this pivotal achievement, Faxon honed his comedic skills performing with The Groundlings, a renowned improvisational and sketch comedy troupe, starting in 2001. His early acting career also included roles in notable comedic films such as Orange County (2002), Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), and Bad Teacher (2011), establishing his presence in the industry. Building on the success of The Descendants, Faxon and Rash expanded their creative partnership to co-write and co-direct their debut feature film, The Way Way Back (2013).

Additionally, he voices Pickle in Blaze and the Monster Machines, a role he has held since 2014, and portrayed Frog in the Apple TV+ series Frog and Toad (2023–2024). Beyond acting, Faxon returned to directing, helming episodes for the television series Community in 2015. Further demonstrating his multifaceted abilities, Faxon reunited with Jim Rash to co-direct the feature film Downhill (2020). He maintains a consistent presence in live-action television with recurring roles on popular series such as The Conners (2020–2025) and Loot (2022–present), showcasing his enduring appeal and diverse contributions as an actor, screenwriter, and director across various platforms and genres.
