Multi-talented Natalia Subtil is a pop singer and actress from in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She rose to prominence on the talent show Fábrica de Estrelas , and is well known for her single ‘Cara de Pau’ which was famously used on the soundtrack for the popular telenovela Chiquititas. As an actress she is famous for playing Gio in Un padre no tan padre, the Mexican comedy film directed by Raúl Martínez.
Born and raised in the Rio de Janeiro suburb Méier , Subtil was discovered by a model agency whilst taking dance classes at the Centro de Dança Rio academy. She soon found success as a model appearing in several advertising campaigns, and went to work in the United States from 2004 until 2008.
In 2013 Subtil took part in talent show Fábrica de Estrelas. The talented singer made it to the last 8 finalists, and although she didn’t win a place in the girl band formed from the programme she became a break-out star of the show. Later the same year she released the track ‘Cara de Pau’ from the Chiquititas sound track and later followed with ‘Don Juan’, a song from the sound track of telenovela Cúmplices de um Resgate .
Although she had to turn down a role in the movie Fast & Furious as she was already three months pregnant at the time, Subtil has made an impact acting in several movies and telenovelas including Un Padre No Tan Padre, festive sequel Una Navidad No Tan Padre and The Winner on Netflix. A triple-threat in the entertainment business, Subtil is one to watch.
