Natalie Palamides is an accomplished American actress, comedian, and writer whose career has flourished since her early days creating humorous home films in Pittsburgh. After moving to Los Angeles, she joined the Upright Citizens Brigade, where she honed her skills in voice-over and commercial work. Her unique comedic style began to take shape through various performances, including memorable sketches that showcased her talent for character-driven humor, such as her anthropomorphic egg character and her exaggeratedly masculine persona, Nate.
Palamides made a significant impact with her first hour-long show, “Laid,” which drew from her earlier sketches. However, it was her show “Nate – A One Man Show” that truly catapulted her into the spotlight. This innovative performance, which involved audience participation and themes of consent, won the Total Theatre Award at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In addition to her stage work, Palamides has made her mark in television, notably voicing Buttercup in the 2016 reboot of “The Powerpuff Girls.” Her versatility extends to commercials, where she plays the character Mara for Progressive Insurance, further showcasing her comedic range.
Most recently, Palamides starred in the film “Apocalypse Clown,” which won accolades at the Galway Film Fleadh. With her upcoming performance in “WEER” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Natalie Palamides continues to captivate audiences with her innovative and engaging performances, solidifying her status as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
