Nate Jackson was born on August 14, 1983, in Lacey/Olympia, Washington. He pursued higher education at Eastern Washington University, graduating in 2006 with a degree in organizational communications. During his university years, he was encouraged to participate in a comedy contest, marking the beginning of his career in stand-up. Following his graduation, Jackson moved to Hollywood, California, to further his comedic aspirations. Early in his career, he demonstrated his talent by becoming a semi-finalist at the 2007 Bay Area Black Comedy Competition and Festival, followed by being the first runner-up in the 2008 Seattle International Comedy Competition and a finalist in the 2008 California Comedy Festival. His dedication to comedy led him to perform extensively in the Puget Sound area upon returning to Tacoma, Washington.
In 2010, Jackson launched the “Super Funny Comedy Show” and won the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition hosted by the Full Vision Arts Foundation. A significant milestone in his career was the opening of his own “Super Funny Comedy Club” in 2021, distinguishing itself as one of the few Black-owned comedy clubs in the United States and the largest in the Pacific Northwest. After a temporary closure at the end of 2024, the club successfully reopened in early 2025 within the Courtyard Tacoma Downtown Marriott, providing enhanced resources and accommodations. Jackson gained considerable traction on social media platforms, particularly TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic, accumulating over 4.5 million followers. His viral content and crowd work became a hallmark of his style. In 2023, he secured representation with CAA, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry.
