Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actress known for her roles in critically acclaimed fantasy and action franchises. After captivating audiences as Young Nala in the West End production of The Lion King in the late 1990s, Nathalie Emmanuel made her television debut as Sasha Valentine in the British soap opera Hollyoaks in 2006, continuing in the role until 2010. In 2012, she presented the BBC Three documentary Websex: What’s the Harm?, investigating online sexual behaviors, and made her feature film debut in the thriller Twenty8k. Her career significantly advanced in 2013 when she joined the cast of HBO’s critically acclaimed series Game of Thrones as Missandei, a role that brought her international recognition.
By 2015, Emmanuel was promoted to a regular cast member on Game of Thrones, solidifying her presence in a global phenomenon. Concurrently, she expanded her filmography with prominent roles, starring as computer hacker Ramsey in the action blockbuster Furious 7 and Harriet in the science fiction adventure Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.
