One of the best known chefs in Australia, Perry has accumulated over 40 years of experience in the culinary arts. He’s the coordinator for in-flight catering at Qantas – the flag carrier of Australia – under his company Rockpool Dining Group. He recently stepped down from his role of culinary director and ambassador at the group after announcing his retirement in 2020, but remains a consultant and major shareholder. A well-respected expert who has pushed forward the frontiers of Australian cuisine, Perry has earned the respect of fellow chefs all over the world.
Perry is a co-owner and executive chef at numerous famous restaurants in Australia, including his flagship haute cuisine establishment Rockpool, the contemporary Chinese restaurant Spice Temple and the steakhouse Rockpool Bar & Grill (all based in Sydney). He has a particular zest for Asian cuisine, and also owns restaurants in Melbourne and Perth.
A notable food personality in Australia, he’s featured extensively on Channel Nine’s food program Fresh, while being a regular presenter on channels such as Foxtel, LifeStyle, LifeStyle Food and BBC2 in the UK. He also appeared on MasterChef Australia, a show with an international fanbase of millions. Some of his television series include Rockpool Sessions, Food Source Neil Perry, Neil Perry: High Steaks and Neil Perry Fresh & Fast. Perry has also written numerous successful culinary books, and will continue to tap into his devout love of food and the art of cooking.
