After setting the record for the lowest amateur round in U.S. Open history with a 65 in the second round of the 2009 championship, where he finished as the low amateur, Nick Taylor went on to establish himself as a five-time PGA Tour winner. His distinguished amateur career included winning the Canadian Amateur Championship in 2007 and reaching the quarter-finals of the 2007 U.S.

Throughout this period, he continued to represent his country, appearing for Canada in the 2018 World Cup of Golf. The culmination of Taylor’s career progression arrived in June 2023 with his historic victory at the RBC Canadian Open.
