Niiko X Swae

Niiko X Swae, composed of Nikolaus Becker (Niiko) and Mark Manchester (Swae), are a DJ and production duo originating from Newport Beach, California. Childhood friends, they reconnected in college at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, where they began developing their collaborative music career. Both members studied business while simultaneously pursuing their passion for electronic music. Their early work involved playing for friends in dorm rooms at SMU, eventually escalating to performances for larger audiences, such as 5,000 people in Monterrey, Mexico.

The duo quickly established a presence in the electronic dance music scene, characterized by a sound that integrates deep house with future bass, incorporating ambient builds and creative basslines. They describe their style as having a ‘beach vibe’ due to their Southern California roots, drawing influences from both the house music and bass music scenes. This approach has allowed them to create a distinctive sound that appeals to both mainstream and underground electronic music listeners. They have achieved significant milestones, including performances at major festivals and gaining recognition for their original productions and remixes.

Niiko X Swae have consistently focused on career growth, securing a residency with the Hakkasan Group in Las Vegas, a significant venue for DJs globally. Their dedication to both their music and academic pursuits, along with the support of their manager Kevin Manchester, allowed them to balance their developing music careers with their college education. They have expressed a commitment to continued artistic exploration, aiming to push the boundaries of bass music. The duo has built a team to support their work, allowing them to manage their demanding schedule of production, performances, and business responsibilities.
