Nina Brunner

A two-time U21 World Champion by the age of 17, Nina Brunner rapidly established herself as a formidable talent in beach volleyball. After dominating the Swiss Junior Championships, securing U15 titles in 2008 and 2009, an U18 title in 2010, and U21 titles consecutively from 2011 to 2013, Brunner transitioned seamlessly to international competition. She made an immediate impact, becoming the youngest U21 World Champion in 2011 at 15 years and 10 months, partnered with Joana Heidrich. Brunner further solidified her status by winning a second U21 World Championship title in 2012 alongside Anouk Vergé-Dépré.

Her junior career culminated in a double European junior championship in 2013, claiming both U20 and U22 titles, and an additional U20 European Championship in 2014. Brunner continued her ascent, adding the European Games Champion title in 2015 and a U22 European Champion title the same year, alongside multiple Coop Beachtour victories and her first national championship medal. A pivotal moment arrived in 2016 when she formed a highly successful partnership with Tanja Hüberli. This new collaboration quickly yielded results, earning them their first FIVB World Tour podium finish with a Bronze Medal in Klagenfurt in 2016, followed by another FIVB World Tour Bronze in Pore? in 2017.

Beyond her on-court achievements, Nina Brunner is currently pursuing a psychology degree through distance education, demonstrating her commitment to personal and professional development with a future aspiration to work with children.
