Raising the profile of curling comes easily to Wisconsin’s Nina Roth. Natural on the ice, Roth has been skipping her current team since 2016 to great success. Inspired by her father, Roth fell in love with curling from a young age and picked up the game at ten years old. From that moment, Roth’s career path was set in motion. Seeing the Olympic trials in action, Roth knew she wanted to become an elite curler, and she hasn’t looked back since.
International and national star, Roth has had an exceptional career. Breaking out onto the Pyeongchang Olympic Games, Roth made a stunning debut. Fighting hard on the ice, Roth led her team to an impressive 8th place. After championing the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Roth was ready to take the world by storm. Podium success has been an enduring part of Roth’s meteoric rise in the rink. Two-time Women’s National Champion – as well as three runner-up positions – Roth, has proved her metal on her home turf. Having reached many semi-finals, including the Mixed Doubles National Championship, and claiming the 2018 Curling World Cup, Roth has a diverse range of skills to offer. Roth’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. In the same year, Roth was named the USA Curling Female Athlete of the Year.
