Noah Igbinoghene

Noah Igbinoghene was born on November 27, 1999, in Trussville, Alabama. He is the son of Olympic track and field athletes Festus Igbinoghene and Faith Idehen. Igbinoghene attended Hewitt-Trussville High School where he excelled in football as a wide receiver and in track and field, claiming multiple state championships in long jump and triple jump. He continued his athletic career at Auburn University, where he initially played wide receiver and on special teams. During his sophomore year, he transitioned to cornerback and became a starter, recording 50 tackles and 11 pass breakups. He also continued to compete in track and field at Auburn.

Igbinoghene declared for the NFL Draft after his junior year. He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round as the 30th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he appeared in all 16 games with two starts, contributing with 10 tackles and 2 passes defensed. In 2022, he recorded his first career interception, securing a game-sealing play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In August 2023, he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys, where he scored a 58-yard touchdown on a blocked field goal return in his debut. He subsequently signed with the Washington Commanders in March 2024 and re-signed with them on a one-year contract in March 2025. During the 2024 season, he played in all 17 regular season games, making 10 starts and tallying 55 tackles and seven pass deflections.

His career progression highlights his adaptability, moving from wide receiver to cornerback in college and contributing to multiple NFL teams. He has demonstrated consistent performance in special teams and in a starting role when opportunities arose due to injuries.
