NFL star Andre Branch is an outside linebacker who has played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins. From 2007 until 2011, Branch attended Clemson University, where he had 17.5 sacks and 179 tackles over the course of his collegiate career. He was chosen for the first team All-ACC in 2011 as a senior after making 77 tackles and 10.5 sacks. Branch was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 38th overall choice in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He agreed to a 4-year, $5.1 million contract on May 29, 2012.
Branch had a career-high 49 tackles in his debut season with the Dolphins, along with 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and starts in 11 of the team’s 16 games. Branch and the Dolphins agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract deal on March 8, 2017. In the same year, he made 14 starts, registering 23 total tackles and 4.5 sacks.
In 2018, Branch was the subject of an article in the style and beauty publication Coveteur, titled ‘Your Inner Sneakerhead Will *Lose It* Over Andre Branch’s Closet’. Branch was released by the Dolphins on March 2, 2019. Following a visit in early June, Branch signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on July 30, 2019, however on August 25, he was released.
