Andre Branch

Orlandus Andre Branch was born on July 14, 1989, in Richmond, Virginia. He pursued his collegiate football career at Clemson University from 2007 to 2011. During his time at Clemson, he demonstrated consistent performance, culminating in a highly successful senior season in 2011 where he earned first-team All-ACC honors. In this standout year, he recorded 77 tackles and 10.5 sacks, contributing significantly to his team’s defensive efforts. His collegiate career statistics include a total of 179 tackles and 17.5 sacks.

Branch’s professional journey began when he was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft as the 38th overall pick. He signed a four-year, $5.1 million contract with the Jaguars on May 29, 2012, marking his official entry into the National Football League. He played for the Jaguars until the 2015 NFL season. In 2016, Branch moved to the Miami Dolphins, signing a contract on March 17, 2016. In his first year with the Dolphins, he started 11 out of 16 games, achieving a career-high 49 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. His performance led to a three-year, $24 million contract extension with the Dolphins on March 8, 2017. He continued to play for the Dolphins until his release on March 2, 2019.

Following his tenure with the Dolphins, Branch signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals on July 30, 2019, after an earlier visit in June. He was later released by the Cardinals on August 25, 2019. Throughout his seven-year NFL career, Andre Branch accumulated 188 total tackles, 25.5 sacks, 8 forced fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries, including one defensive touchdown. His career highlights also include being a second-team All-American in 2011 during his college years.
