Noel Fielding rose to prominence with the highly successful comedy troupe, The Mighty Boosh, which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1998, earning the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer. After receiving a BA in graphic design and advertising in 1995, Fielding met Julian Barratt in 1997, leading to the formation of The Mighty Boosh. The troupe expanded their critically acclaimed stage shows with ‘Arctic Boosh’ in 1999 and ‘Autoboosh’ in 2000. In 2001, ‘The Mighty Boosh’ transitioned to radio with a six-part show on BBC London Live, later moving to BBC Radio 4.
He has been a frequent guest on popular panel shows including ‘The Big Fat Quiz of the Year’ and ‘QI’, and returned as a team captain on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ in 2021. Most recently, in 2024, Fielding took on the lead role of Dick Turpin in ‘The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin’ for Apple TV+, further demonstrating his versatility across diverse entertainment platforms. He continues to engage audiences with his unique blend of comedy, art, and television presence.
