Nolan Bushnell

Nolan Bushnell is recognized as a pioneering electrical engineer and businessman, famously co-founding Atari, Inc. and establishing the Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre chain, significantly shaping the video game industry and family entertainment. After co-founding Atari, Inc.

Despite the console’s eventual widespread success, Bushnell departed from Atari in early 1979 following disagreements with Warner. Prior to his departure, he negotiated the rights to Pizza Time Theatre, which he established in 1977. This innovative concept evolved into the Chuck E. Cheese’s chain, pioneering a unique blend of pizza, arcade games, and animatronic entertainment, reflecting Bushnell’s expansive vision for family-centric experiences.

Throughout his distinguished career, Bushnell has founded more than 20 companies, consistently exploring new frontiers in technology and entertainment. His entrepreneurial portfolio includes the establishment of Catalyst Technologies Venture Capital Group and uWink. Further demonstrating his enduring influence, Bushnell joined the board of directors for Atari SA in 2010. He also co-founded Anti-Aging Games, LLC, and later founded BrainRush in 2012, continuing his exploration of interactive technology.

More recently, Bushnell was appointed CEO and Chairman of Global Gaming Technologies Corp in 2019, underscoring his continued leadership in the gaming sector. In 2021, he founded Exodexa, Inc. and also co-founded Moxy.io, maintaining his proactive engagement in pioneering new digital and entertainment platforms. These ventures highlight his ongoing commitment to innovation and his prominent role in shaping the future of interactive technology and entertainment.
