An explosive emerging talent in hip-hop, Nova (real name Julio Franceschi) is a rapper from Pennsylvania who is best known as the Season 3 winner of the popular Lifetime network series The Rap Game. The aim of the show, which is presented by rapper, producer and executive Jermaine Dupri, is to provide up-and-coming artists with the golden opportunity to work with top producers. This is an opportunity that Nova seized with both hands, culminating in him winning a record deal with Dupri’s very own label ‘So So Def’.
After a turbulent youth – including a period where he lived in a homeless shelter – Nova worked tirelessly to better his situation by posting his creative raps across all popular social media platforms as well as SoundCloud. He now boasts a vast following on Instagram where he posts original rap content to his ardent fanbase.
Since winning The Rap Game, Nova went to Atlanta to record with Dupri. It was there where he created his first single ‘Stay Over’ featuring American singer and songwriter Jacquees, followed by ‘Riding My Wave’. Nova prides himself on writing all of his own lyrics, and in 2017 he joined a tour across twenty cities called ‘So So Summer17’ alongside several other iconic past winners of the show. The definition of hard-working, Nova has big plans for his future, with dreams of winning Grammys and making waves in the charts.
