Nur Dhabitah Sabri

Born on July 12, 1999, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Nur Dhabitah Sabri began her aquatic journey through swimming before transitioning to diving due to her small physique. She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the youngest Malaysian diver to win two senior international competitions. Her early career highlights include securing a gold medal in the 10-meter synchronized platform at the 2013 SEA Games and a bronze medal in the same event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. These achievements marked her as a promising talent in the world of diving, setting the stage for a distinguished career.

Throughout her career, Nur Dhabitah Sabri has consistently performed at a high level on the international stage. She secured an Olympic spot for the 2016 Summer Olympics after winning the women’s individual 10-metre platform at the 2015 Asian Diving Cup. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she finished fifth in the 3-meter synchronized springboard and ninth in the 10-meter platform individual event. Her participation in subsequent major events, including the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games, and the 2018 and 2022 Asian Games, resulted in multiple silver and bronze medals across various springboard and platform synchronized events. She was also notably chosen to light the cauldron at the opening ceremony of the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, a significant honor.

Nur Dhabitah Sabri continued to demonstrate her competitive spirit and skill, participating in the 2023 World Aquatics Championships and aiming for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Despite some challenges, she maintains a focus on personal achievement and continuous improvement in her sport.
