Oleh Omelchuk

Oleh Omelchuk is a Ukrainian sport shooter, consistently achieving top placements in major international competitions, including an Olympic bronze medal and multiple World Cup and European Championship titles. After securing his first World Cup gold medal in 2007 in Bangkok for the 50m Pistol Men event, Oleh Omelchuk quickly established himself as a formidable force in international sport shooting. He followed this success with another gold medal in the 50m Pistol Men event in Rio de Janeiro in 2008, culminating in a prestigious victory at the 2008 World Cup Final in Bangkok, where he claimed gold in the 10m Air Pistol Men. That same year, Omelchuk made his Olympic debut representing Ukraine at the Beijing Summer Olympics, demonstrating his exceptional skill by achieving a 4th place finish in the highly competitive 50m Pistol Men event and 16th in the 10m Air Pistol Men category.

Maintaining his elite performance into the current competitive season, Omelchuk most recently secured a gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the European Championships in Gyor in 2024.
