The talented artist Oswin Benjamin is a rapper and actor, best known for his acclaimed debut EP, Hueman, and for his breakout appearance in 2020’s award-winning comedy drama The Forty-Year-Old Version.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Newburgh, New York, Benjamin first hit the limelight in 2012 when he got to rap with Kendrick Lamar. He released his debut six-track EP, Hueman, in March 2017, which gained a lot of positive reviews. Since then he as has appeared and collaborated with musicians such as Robert Glasper, Royce da 5’9, Lupe Fiasco, Chris Rivers and Styles P of The Lox. He dropped his debut album, Godfrey, in 2019, his second, Joy Come in the Mourning, in 2021, and his third, Apophenia, in 2022. As an actor, his role as D in 2020’s award-winning The Forty-Year-Old-Version was his first time on film.
