Patrick Cloud is a creator on Culture Genesis' roster of over 120 partners. Culture Genesis is a multi-platform digital media studio leveraging the cultural power of Comedy, Hip-Hop, Poetry and Social Justice, and owned the Black-led content brand All Def.
Jellysmack, alongside All Def owner Culture Genesis, pledged a $25 million fund for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the creator economy. Patrick Cloud is part of Culture Genesis's creator roster.
Patrick Byran Houston, known professionally as Patrick Cloud, was born on September 2, 1989, in Bear Creek, Alaska. He attended Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, California, before pursuing higher education at California State University, Northridge. In his late teens, Cloud began his career in music as a rapper and music producer, distributing his work on platforms like SoundCloud. Despite his efforts in music, he eventually shifted his focus to content creation, marking a significant turning point in his professional trajectory. This pivot led him to become a prominent figure in digital media, leveraging his foundational experiences into a new creative field.
Cloud joined All Def, a media company focused on promoting Black talent, in 2014. During the same year, he also gained experience as a music production assistant at AwesomenessTV. At All Def, he played a crucial role in the company’s growth, contributing to its development into a significant digital media network. His creative contributions include the development of popular video series such as “Roast Me” and “Great Taste Dad Jokes.” These shows gained considerable traction, with “Roast Me” becoming a particularly successful venture. Cloud consistently developed new content, fulfilling the company’s expectation for fresh material every two months.
Beyond his work at All Def, Patrick Cloud has expanded his presence across various digital platforms. He hosts multiple podcasts, including “Damn Internet, You Scary!” and “The Internet Is Undefeated,” co-hosted with Tahir Moore, and “Wording is Hard,” also with Tahir Moore. He also hosts “More Than Just Cards” with Nathan Burns. Cloud is also a professional gamer, streaming his gameplay on Twitch and co-hosting the gaming podcast “Arcade Tokens” with Khleo Thomas and Will Pharaoh. In 2020, he launched “The Cloudy Podcast,” his first content behind a paywall, demonstrating his diverse interests and entrepreneurial spirit in the digital content space.
