Leslie Grossman

Leslie Grossman was born on October 25, 1971, in Los Angeles, California. Her early involvement in the performing arts began at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences, where she directed plays. Grossman later pursued acting during her senior year at Sarah Lawrence College, marking the start of her professional journey.

Grossman’s career began with notable television roles, including the character Mary Cherry in The WB’s comedy-drama series “Popular” (1999–2001), for which the role was specifically written after her initial auditions for other parts. She then joined the cast of “What I Like About You” (2003–2006) as Lauren, a recurring role that became a main cast position in the second season. Her appearances extended across various television series such as “Nip/Tuck,” “Charmed,” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” In film, she appeared in “Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous” (2005) and “Running with Scissors” (2006).

A significant turning point in Grossman’s career was her recurring collaboration with Ryan Murphy, which expanded considerably with her role in the “American Horror Story” anthology series. Starting with “American Horror Story: Cult” in 2017 as Meadow Wilton and Patricia Krenwinkel, she progressed to a series regular in subsequent seasons, portraying characters such as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt in “Apocalypse” (2018), Margaret Booth in “1984” (2019), Ursula Khan and Dr. Calico in “Double Feature” (2021), Barbara Read in “NYC” (2022), and Ashleigh in “Delicate” (2023). Her recent work also includes portraying Judalon Smyth in the Netflix biographical crime drama series “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” (2024).
