Intense, technical and with the rhythm of a rock god, Paul Bostaph has drummed for the legendary group Slayer, as well as the equally famous Exodus, Forbidden and Testament. Bringing a raw, unadulterated aggression to the drum kit, Bostaph has earned his badge of honour within the rock and metal community. Known as a true professional and a figurehead of the heavy metal community, Bostaph is one of metal history’s greatest drummers.
It all changed for Bostaph the first time he heard Killers by Iron Maiden, when he immediately felt a connection to the music and journeyed down the path to heavy metal star status. Forbidden was Bostalph’s first creative outlet and the drummers first taste of metal success. Bostalph was such a good for Forbidden that they got their first record deal in 1989, producing two albums Forbidden Evil and Twisted in Form. Bostaph’s big break came in 1992, when he joined the mega-hit band Slayer, recording and touring round the world with them for nearly 10 years. Along the way, Bostalph left his skillful drumming imprint on multiple albums for Slayer as well as for bands Exodus and Testament- bringing his characteristic die-hard appetite to every piece of music he touches.
Bostalph is one of the most dedicated drummers in music history. Compulsively improving and honing his ability, the born-to-be drummer constantly gets better, pushing the boundaries of creativity and the very essence of rhythm.
