Priah Ferguson

Priah Nicole Ferguson was born on October 1, 2006, in Atlanta, Georgia. From a young age, Ferguson showed an aptitude for performing arts, engaging in dance and theater. Her natural expressiveness and comedic timing were recognized by program directors who encouraged her parents to seek professional representation. This led to her signing with an Atlanta-based agency, marking the beginning of her career in entertainment. Her early work included appearances in local short films and independent projects, building a foundation for her future success.

Ferguson made her television debut in 2016, appearing in Donald Glover’s critically acclaimed FX series “Atlanta.” She also secured roles in VH1’s “Daytime Divas” and the PBS series “Mercy Street.” A significant turning point in her career occurred in 2017 when she was cast as Erica Sinclair in Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” Initially a recurring character in season 2, her performance led to her promotion to a series regular in subsequent seasons, gaining widespread recognition for her portrayal of the witty and bold character.

Since her breakout role, Ferguson has expanded her acting portfolio to include films such as “The Oath” (2018) and the 2022 Halloween comedy “The Curse of Bridge Hollow,” where she starred alongside Marlon Wayans. In 2023, she lent her voice to the character Lisa in the animated series “My Dad the Bounty Hunter.” Beyond acting, Ferguson has also engaged in philanthropic efforts, including serving as the official Spokeskid for the United Way of Greater Atlanta in 2015, advocating for community initiatives.
