Priscilla Hon is a globally renowned tennis player who is best known for her success at the Australian Open at the young age of 16. Hon has achieved a junior ranking of 13th in the World, as well as reaching the semi-finals in Wimbledon in 2014. Hon made her senior Grand Slam main-draw debut at the Australian Open, and participated as one of seven wild-card teams in women’s doubles, partnering with fellow Australian Kimberly Birrell. Although Birrell and Hon lost that particular match, the tenacity that they displayed would see Hon go on to win $15,000 in Mornington claiming the singles title after defeating Sandra Zaniewska. As well as this, Hon even defeated her previous doubles partner and good friend Kimberly Birrel in her second ITF singles title.
Hon has recently competed in North America, reaching the quarter final of the 2019 Odium Brown Vancouver Open, as well as qualifying for the US Open singles main draw. The tennis player has also reached the semi-final of 2019 Bendigo Women’s International, ending 2019 with a singles rank of 126 at only 20 years old. When Hon isn’t playing Tennis she is working as the co-founder of Platform Six – a vegan clothing initiative attempting to include simple clothing with 10% of profits going to charity. Platform Six has over 5,000 followers on Instagram and is continually growing, whilst Hon herself has both a personal account of over 36 thousand followers and a foodie account, another hobby of the young athlete.
