The brilliant Rebecca Lowe is a sports journalist and broadcaster, who is best known for hosting NBC Sports coverage of the English Premier League and the Olympics in the United States. She has previously worked for BBC Sport, ESPN, and Setanta Sports. She was named Newcomer of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 2013, and became an American citizen in 2022.
Born and raised in London, Lowe initially had ambitions to be an actress. After working at TalkSport following her graduation from university, she won a BBC TV Talent Search for a football reporter in 2002. She started working on Football Focus as well as for Final Score, and was later a feature presenter on Match of the Day. She was a regular contributor to Match of the Day 2 and Grandstand, as well as for BBC News 24, BBC Breakfast, and various BBC Radio channels, including Radio Five Live.
Lowe joined Setanta Sports in 2007 as a football presenter and reporter, then after the channel’s demise in 2009, she joined ESPN to co-host their Premier League coverage. In 2013 she was hired by NBC as the lead studio host for their coverage of the English Premier League in the United States, and later became the daytime host for the channels’ Summer and Winter Olympics coverage.
Lowe regularly connects with her legions of followers and fans through Instagram, posting pictures and videos of her life around sports broadcasting.
