Matthew Leinart was an Football quarterback. He retired in 2013 and began his career as a studio analyst for Fox Sports’ college football coverage. From 2001 to 2005, he was a member of the University of Southern California football team. In 2003, 2004, and 2005, he was the Trojans’ starting quarterback. He captured the prestigious Heisman Trophy as a junior in 2004 and again in 2005. He was named “Quarterback of the Year” in 2004 and 2005. In December of 2017, Leinart was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Leinart was a member of the Arizona Cardinals (2006–2009), Houston Texans (2010–2011), Oakland Raiders (2012), and Buffalo Bills (2013) in the National Football League. In 2014, Leinart signed a contract with the Pac-12 Network and made his debut as a Studio Analyst. He’s a voicemail guest on the Barstool Sports podcast “Pardon My Take” on a regular basis.
Among his other achievements and awards Leinart won the BCS National Championship in 2004, the AP National Championship in 2003 and 2004, the Archie Griffin Award 2003 and 2004, the Manning Award in 2004, the Johnny Unitas Award in 2005, the Walter Camp Award in 2004, the First-team All-American in 2004 and 2005, and Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.
Leinart is also an active member of his community and is dedicated to philanthropy. He is the founder of an eponymous organization for underprivileged children. He is involved in the Manhattan Beach community and coaches youth baseball and football teams. Matt also became a member of the Schneider Properties South Bay Real Estate Team after obtaining his real estate license.
