Rebecca Simmons is an athlete representative for speed skating and a competitor with a background in various national and international events. After securing a third-place finish in the Women’s 1000m Final B at the December 2021 US Olympic Team Trials Short Track with a time of 1:45.267, Rebecca Simmons quickly established herself as a formidable presence in speed skating. Her competitive prowess was further highlighted in December 2022 when she represented the U.S. women’s team at the ISU Four Continents Speed Skating Championships in Quebec City, Quebec.
This intensive preparation and her consistent high-level performances have solidified her position as a rising star within Team USA speedskating, demonstrating her potential for continued impact at both national and international levels. Her dedication to the sport extends beyond her personal competitive pursuits, encompassing significant leadership and developmental roles. As an Athlete Representative for the USS Masters Committee, Simmons actively contributes to the strategic growth and community development within the masters skating sector across the United States. In this crucial capacity, she helps shape policies and programs that support experienced skaters, leveraging her firsthand knowledge to foster an environment of continuous improvement and participation.
