Renae Jacobs is an American voice actress, widely recognised for her portrayal of April O’Neil in the original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” animated series. After securing the iconic role of April O’Neil in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, Renae Jacobs went on to voice the beloved journalist across 191 episodes from 1987 to 1996. Her portrayal of April O’Neil was pivotal to the series’ success, with Jacobs developing the character as a strong individual known for her conviction, loyalty, and professional demeanor dedicated to her investigative work. This career-defining role began following a successful audition in 1986, where her interpretation was selected by producers to bring the intrepid reporter to life for a global audience.
