Reno Wilson

Reno Wilson gained early recognition as Howard, Theo Huxtable’s college friend, in the popular NBC sitcom The Cosby Show, appearing throughout its fifth and sixth seasons from 1988 to 1989. This foundational recurring role helped establish his presence in television, laying the groundwork for a prolific career that would span decades and encompass a wide array of comedic and dramatic characters across film, television, and voice acting. Wilson achieved widespread acclaim and national recognition for his compelling portrayal of Officer Carl McMillan in the CBS sitcom Mike & Molly. Starring alongside Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell, Wilson appeared in 127 episodes of the series from 2010 to 2016, becoming a central figure in the show’s successful run.

His extensive voice work extends to video games, where he voiced the beloved character Sazh Katzroy throughout the acclaimed Final Fantasy XIII series, specifically in Final Fantasy XIII (2009), Final Fantasy XIII-2 (2011), and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (2014). Wilson’s dramatic range was further highlighted by his portrayal of jazz legend Louis Armstrong in the 2019 film Bolden. More recently, he took on the role of Detective Earl Booker in the 2023 TV mini-series Fatal Attraction.
