Reza Farahan

Reza Farahan is a real estate agent based in Los Angeles, who is an openly gay man who has admitted to his struggles with gossip and prejudice. Farahan is the star of Shahs of Sunsets, who wanted to participate in the show after seeing news reports of the suicides of teenagers who were bullied because they were gay – and wanted to portray a positive image of both gay people and Middle Easteners. Farahan’s husband, Adam, who was also a former fashion model who has worked for Ryan Murphy in post-production on his various shows. The couples engagement was featured in the third-season finale.

Farahan’s mother is Muslim and father is Jewish, and Farahan has revealed his father converted to Islam to marry his mother – however his paternal grandmother rejected Farahan due to not being Jewish. Farahan uses these struggles to uplift and inspire people on the show, as well as working with MJ at Keller Williams Realty.
