Rich Gaspari is a world-renowned professional bodybuilder. Despite retiring back in 1996, he remains strong and has continued to inspire others with his business ventures into aiding bodybuilders with their careers.
Before Gaspari went pro, he spent a long time training himself up to become strong, often taking advantage of Rutger University’s gym to get strong and fit. When he decided to go pro in 1984, he was thrown into the competitive world of heavyweight bodybuilders, but he didn’t allow the competition to throw him off. He won his first competition that same year, placing first in the World IFBB Amateur Championships. He then went on to place second three years in a row in the Mr. Olympia contest, beaten only by Lee Haney who had long taken the top spot.
Gaspari’s dedication to the sport earned him a spot in the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2004 after his career had come to an end. But despite leaving the sport in 1996, his legacy continued and he earned himself the Muscle Beach Hall of Fame Award in 2011, shortly followed up by the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award.
Following his professional career, Gaspari launched his own supplement company, Gaspari Nutrition, which has been going since 1997. He works with nutritionists to create products for sportsmen like him who want to excel and reach the top. With two hundred and fifty thousand followers on Instagram, Gaspari still has a fanbase after all these years and inspires them with his former career and his business.
