Richard McGonagle

Widely recognized for a prolific voice acting career that commenced in 1969, Richard McGonagle has brought iconic characters to life across video games, film, and television, in addition to his live-action roles. His early career saw him in the 1980 film Union City and lending his voice as Pharaoh in Joseph: King of Dreams in 2000. That same year, McGonagle appeared as Judge Col. E.

Johnson in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Apocalypse in X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse. McGonagle continued his significant contributions to animation as the voice of Bato in Avatar: The Last Airbender from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, he delivered a live-action performance as the Board Chairman in The Bucket List and notably began his acclaimed, recurring role as Victor Sullivan, providing both voice and motion capture, for the highly successful Uncharted video game franchise, starting with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. That same year, he voiced Dr.

McGonagle also returned as Mr. Incredible for Disney Infinity in 2013 and lent his voice as Narrator / Old Mouse in Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse that same year. In live-action television, he appeared in episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, and held a recurring role as Judge Lathrop in Close to Home. His voice talent was further showcased as Victor Sullivan in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (2016) and Carmine Falcone in Batman: The Telltale Series (2016).

Throughout his distinguished career, McGonagle has garnered four award nominations for his diverse performances, underscoring his significant impact and adaptability across a wide range of commanding video game characters to nuanced film narrations.
