Ron Placone is a comedian, writer, and filmmaker who has established a diverse career encompassing stand-up, film, and digital content creation. His performance career has taken him across the United States, Australia, and Canada, with his solo show, “Balding is Punk Rock,” debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023. Placone has also co-headlined tours with Graham Elwood, performing to sold-out audiences in cities like Melbourne, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Miami. His debut album, “Agnostic Holiday,” is actively featured on SiriusXM, reflecting his reach in the comedy world. Beyond live performances, Ron Placone has made appearances on the Discovery Channel, CrossTalk, and Redacted Tonight, and is a regular contributor to Status Coup News.
In 2022, Placone expanded his creative endeavors into film production. He has since released the webisode/pilot “Loner” (2023) and the vertical series “Frank Azurri,” which premiered in Rome before being released on Status Coup News. His debut feature film, “Left At Wall” (2023), achieved sold-out screenings in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh, alongside an international screening in London. “Left At Wall” is now available on multiple platforms, including Apple TV, YouTube Movies, Tubi, Google Play, and XBox. Currently, Placone is developing a documentary and working on his next feature film, “Termination Fee.” This project began as a stage play at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2025, where it sold out three of its five shows and earned a nomination for the Inkwell Theater Playwright Promise Award.
