Rosamaria Montibeller

Rosamaria Montibeller, born on April 9, 1994, in Nova Trento, Santa Catarina, Brazil, began her volleyball career at the age of nine through a local youth project. Her professional journey started in 2011 with São Caetano in the Superliga Série A, where she played until 2013. She then moved to Campinas Voleibol Clube for the 2013-2014 season. From 2015 to 2018, Montibeller was a part of Minas Tênis Clube, a period during which she achieved significant club success, including winning the 2018 Women’s South American Volleyball Club Championship. This victory also secured the club’s participation in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship. Following her time with Minas Tênis Clube, she joined Praia Clube, where she won the Brazilian Super Cup in 2019 and was a runner-up in both the 2018/19 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Superliga and the 2019 Women’s South American Volleyball Club Championship.

Montibeller’s international career with the Brazilian national team has been marked by multiple medals and championships. She was a key player in the Brazilian team that won the 2012 Women’s Junior South American Volleyball Championship. She captained Brazil’s U23 team to its first FIVB Volleyball Women’s U23 World Championship title in 2015. With the senior national team, she earned a gold medal at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix and has consistently contributed to Brazil’s success in major international competitions. She took a break from international volleyball from 2019 to 2021 before rejoining the team.

Her return to the national team in 2021 saw Brazil secure a silver medal at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League. She represented Brazil at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, earning a silver medal in the women’s volleyball tournament. Montibeller continued her Olympic success by securing a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her career highlights also include silver medals at the 2015 Pan American Games and the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship, alongside multiple gold medals in the South American Championship.
