Rachel Klamer is a professional triathlete and member of the Dutch National team, and has made multiple Olympic appearances. She is the very definition of a natural athlete, who after only a year of being a triathlete, competed at World Series events. Klamer has been on a steady rise since she entered the game and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.
Klamer is a perfect example of natural talent, while she may have started her career at a relatively later age, 17 years old, her instinctive skills have repeatedly shown themselves with her streak of wins. In 2008, her first year as a triathlete, Klamer won both the Dutch Junior triathlon and duathlon championships. In 2009, Klamer won the silver medal at the European Triathlon Championships in Holten (Junior) and followed that up with a bronze medal at the Grand Final of the Dextro Energy World Championship Series. A year after she started racing, she ended up winning her first Olympic European Cup for distance.
Every year, Klamer has steadily improved her performance. Klamer won the silver medal in the women’s triathlon event of the inaugural European Games in 2015. Since then Klamer has been riding a wave of success and popularity. She’s taken the senior European Championship under her belt, along with two Olympic appearances, and countless ITU World Cup and ETU European Cup top placements.
