Olympic hopeful Ruby Remati is an up-and-coming synchronised swimmer and a competitor for Team USA. Remati was a two-time bronze medallist at the 2019 Pan American Games with success in both the duet and team events, and she has competed on the senior national team since 2018. She is the 2017 U.S. national champion in the solo and figures categories and recently competed at the 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. Remati will team up former USA Synchro Athlete of the Year and Olympian Anita Alvarez as they aim to reach a place the medal podium for Team USA.
Born in Sydney, Australia, Remati holds US, Italian and Australian citizenship and grew up in Andover, Massachusetts, where she first began synchronized swimming after she caught sight of a team practise at her nearby YMCA. Remati’s exceptional talent shone through as soon as soon as she began the sport, and before long she relocated with her family to Lafayette, California so she could train full time with the USA national team.
Remati has successfully competed at the US nationals in the past, competing in both solo and figure. Her Olympic dream is now starting to become a reality, and she was recently chosen for the senior duet team along with her idol, US Olympian Anita Alvarez, and the pair are now in full training for success in Tokyo.
