Ruby Remati

Ruby Remati was born on August 14, 2002, in Sydney, Australia, but spent her formative years in Andover, Massachusetts. Her introduction to synchronized swimming began at the local YMCA when she was five years old, sparked by the sight of competitive swimmers in “sparkly suits.” This initial fascination quickly evolved into a dedicated pursuit of the sport. By age 11, Remati’s talent was recognized, leading to her selection for the U.S. national team for her age group. During this period, she trained with the ANA Synchro swimming club in Andover under the guidance of Pan American Games medalist Leah Pinette. Her early career highlights include winning gold with Team USA at the UANA Pan American Synchronized Swimming Championships in the 12 & Under bracket in 2014, and securing national championships in both solo and figures artistic swimming in 2016 and 2017. To further her training, Remati relocated to California at the age of 14, demonstrating her commitment to her athletic development.

Remati’s career progressed with significant international achievements. In 2018, she earned two bronze medals at the China Open while paired with Anita Alvarez. She followed this by winning two bronze medals at the 2019 Pan American Games. The following year, she secured a bronze medal at the 2020 French Open. Remati was a part of the U.S. team that narrowly missed qualification for the 2020 Summer Olympics and served as a substitute in the qualifying tournament for the duet event. In 2021, she competed in the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series, achieving fourth place in two team events and fifth in the duet. Her consistent performance and dedication led her to enroll at Ohio State University in 2022, where she continued her athletic and academic pursuits, contributing to the synchronized swimming team’s success.

At Ohio State University, Remati became an All-American and helped her team win consecutive national championships. In 2023, she earned two silver medals in both the duet and team events at the Pan American Games in Santiago. A significant milestone in her career came when she helped the U.S. artistic swimming team qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ruby Remati achieved significant recognition, winning a silver medal in the Team – Open event. This accomplishment marked her as a 1-time Olympian and 1-time Olympic medalist, cementing her status as a prominent figure in artistic swimming.
