Ryan Lambert is an American actor, singer and writer who rose to fame during the mid-1980s in the children’s television show, Kids Incorporated. He also starred as Rudy in the classic cult movie The Monster Squad in 1987, starred in Freeze Frame with Shannen Doherty, and will appear in the action movie Wrecker due for release in 2020. Multi-talented Lambert has also enjoyed a career in music as the lead vocalist for San Francisco rock groups Kill Moi and Elephone.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he made his first television appearances in episodes of Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color and Sidekicks when he was a teenager. Lambert got his big break in Kid Incorporated, a kid’s television show where children sang songs whilst solving problems in-between performances. Lambert went on to appear in 65 episodes of the show, and in 1987 landed another big role in The Monster Squad. Lambert played Rudy in the cult film where a group of monster fanatics try to save their town from Dracula and his monsters.
Lambert’s role in The Monster Squad gave the young actor an army of fans for life and a lasting friendship with co-star Andre Gower. The pair recently hosted the Short Ends online shorts festival and regularly appear together on their Squadcast podcast. Lambert was a guest of honour at The Monster Squad 20th anniversary reunion screening in Austin, Texas.
