Ryan Robinette was born and raised in Southeastern Ohio, in the town of Senecaville. His early life was divided between music and sports, participating in baseball, basketball, and football, while also performing in various bands and as a solo act from the age of 14. This balance continued until college, where he shifted his focus to academic pursuits, ultimately becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant. After realizing his passion for music remained unfulfilled, Robinette returned to songwriting and performing in 2015, marking a significant turning point in his career.
Since re-engaging with music, Ryan Robinette has steadily built momentum and a following through social media and live performances. In August 2016, he released his debut album, “Progression,” which achieved commercial success, reaching the Top 10 on iTunes Country Charts and remaining in the Top 100 for several days. The album also narrowly missed the Top 50 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart. The lead single, “For Awhile,” was personally selected by John Marks, Global Head of Country at Spotify, for inclusion on their “New Boots” playlist. It remained on the playlist for several months, accumulating nearly 2 million streams on Spotify alone. This success led to its addition to major country playlists on Spotify Canada, Spotify Australia & New Zealand, Apple Music’s “Young Country” and “#CoolCountry” playlists, Amazon’s “Introducing: Country” playlist, and Pandora’s “New Country 2017.” Following the track’s streaming success, Robinette filmed his first official music video for “For Awhile” in Los Angeles in November 2016. The video quickly gained traction, reaching the Top 10 on Vevo’s Country Charts for multiple weeks and has since garnered nearly 3 million views.
The widespread success of his debut album enabled Ryan Robinette to expand his performance reach. He has participated in songwriters’ festivals and shared stages, both individually and with his band, alongside established artists and writers. These collaborations include performances with Jake Owen, Chris Lane, Josh Thompson, Brett Eldredge, Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion, Clare Dunn, Frankie Ballard, A Thousand Horses, Parmalee, Jana Kramer, LoCash, Kristian Bush, Dylan Altman, Dave Gibson, Russell Dickerson, Andy Grammer, Nelly, and Daughtry. Robinette continues to develop his career, with plans for a second music video and ongoing promotion of his single, “Proof Is on Your Lips.”
