Sabrina Seara Parra was born on March 27, 1985, in Caracas, Venezuela. Her family, originally from Spain, relocated to Venezuela after the civil war. Raised in Caracas alongside her two siblings, Sabrina developed an interest in acting and modeling from a young age. At 16, she enrolled in acting classes at RCTV’s 1BC academy under Professor Ralph Kinnard. After completing her studies at the Marbe de la Castellana college, Seara pursued a year of Mass Communication in the United States to gain exposure to different cultures, which further supported her acting aspirations.
Her professional acting career began in 2005 with a protagonist role in the Televen series “Guayoyo Express.” In 2007, she made her film debut in the independent thriller “13 segundos” as Daniela and also took on a television role in “El gato tuerto” as Mati Pérez. Seara continued her career progression, securing a main role in the Venevisión telenovela “Los misterios del amor” in 2009, portraying Francisca Naranjo. In 2010, she took on her first antagonist role in “Harina de Otro Costal.”
A turning point in her career came in 2012 with her starring role as Yamilet López in the successful Venevisión telenovela “Válgame Dios.” Following this, Seara moved to the United States and joined Telemundo, co-starring in “Pasión prohibida” (2013) as Penèlope Santillana alongside fellow Venezuelan actress Mónica Spear. She then played the main villain, Melisa Lobo, in Televen’s “Nora” (2014) and gained further recognition for her role as Esperanza Salvatierra in “El Señor de los Cielos” from 2015 to 2018, appearing in 204 episodes. In 2016, she won the “Favorite Actress in a Super Series” award at Telemundo’s Premios Tu Mundo for her work on “El Señor de los Cielos.” Her career continued with notable roles in “Mi Familia Perfecta” (2018) as Erika Ramírez and “Betty en NY” (2019) as Marcela Valencia. In 2020, Sabrina Seara became a US citizen.
