United States Sal Vulcano is an American improvisational and stand-up comedian, actor, and producer, widely recognized for his work with The Tenderloins comedy troupe and as a star of 'Impractical Jokers'.

Salvatore Edward Anthony Vulcano was born on November 6, 1976, in Staten Island, New York City. He is of Italian, Cuban, and Puerto Rican descent. Vulcano attended Monsignor Farrell High School, where he was part of the Improvisation Club alongside future collaborators James Murray, Brian Quinn, and Joe Gatto. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from St. John’s University in 1998.
After graduating from college, Vulcano reunited with Murray, Gatto, and Quinn. They began performing as an improv and sketch comedy troupe in 1999, naming themselves The Tenderloins. The group gained early recognition by producing comedy sketches and posting them online on platforms like YouTube, MySpace, and Metacafe, accumulating millions of views. A significant milestone in their early career was winning the $100,000 grand prize in NBC’s “It’s Your Show” competition in 2007 for their sketch “Time Thugs.”
Vulcano’s career advanced significantly when ‘Impractical Jokers’ premiered on TruTV on December 15, 2011. The show quickly became one of TruTV’s most popular series and propelled Vulcano into public recognition. He has also been involved in other television projects, including ‘The Misery Index’ and appearances on shows such as ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, ‘MacGyver’, and ‘Clerks III’. In addition to his group work, Vulcano maintains a solo stand-up career and co-hosts popular podcasts such as ‘What Say You?’ and ‘Hey Babe!’.
