Sam Lachow

Sam Lachow, hailing from both Seattle and New York City, has been involved in video creation since elementary school. His early career saw him establish the group Shankbone as a seventh-grader, for which he directed and produced music videos, a role he also extended to other artists. In 2011, Lachow launched his solo career with “Brand New Bike”, an album entirely produced by him. This foundation established his presence within the music industry.

His career advanced significantly in 2014 with the release of “Huckleberry”, his second full-length album, which independently reached number 5 on the iTunes Hip Hop charts. Following this, he released “80 Bars”, a free project that garnered over a million plays across SoundCloud and YouTube for multiple tracks. This momentum led to Sam Lachow becoming the first local artist to sell out Seattle’s 1,000-capacity Neptune Theater. In 2015, he performed on the main stage at Sasquatch, one of Washington’s largest music festivals. Lachow has consistently toured, written, and produced music, developing a genre-blending style and collaborating with a diverse range of artists. His 2020 album, “Corduroy”, featured collaborations with artists such as Watsky, Dave B, and Travis Thompson.

Currently residing in Seattle, WA, with his dog Devin, Lachow continues to produce new music and tour nationally. His work demonstrates a consistent output and engagement within the music scene, maintaining a creative process that spans various artistic mediums from video production to music composition and performance.
