Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley established himself as a dominant force in collegiate football, setting numerous records for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, he became the first player in Big Ten history to record a return and passing touchdown in the same game. Barkley set Penn State records for career all-purpose yards (5,538), career rushing touchdowns (43), career receiving yards by a running back (1,157), and a single-game record of 358 total yards vs. Iowa.

His inaugural season with the team proved career-defining, earning him the NFL Offensive Player of the Year, First-team All-Pro honors, and recognition as the NFL rushing yards leader. He also received his third Pro Bowl selection and the Bert Bell Award. Barkley became the ninth running back in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season, and the first player in Eagles franchise history to reach this milestone in 2024, setting new team records with 2,005 rushing yards and 12 100-yard rushing games. He further broke Eagles records with 255 rushing yards and 302 total yards from scrimmage in a single game against the Los Angeles Rams on November 24, 2024.

Barkley’s dominant performance with the Eagles culminated in a Super Bowl LIX victory, marking his first Super Bowl championship. He continued to deliver in the postseason, setting an Eagles franchise record with 205 rushing yards in a playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams on January 19, 2025. During the 2024 season, including both regular and postseason play, he amassed an NFL-leading 2,504 rushing yards and 2,857 scrimmage yards, solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic and productive offensive talents.
