Tyrann Mathieu

Tyrann Mathieu, born on May 13, 1992, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is an Football safety renowned for his tenacity and game-changing abilities. His journey to NFL stardom began at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he showcased his knack for creating turnovers and earned the moniker “the Honey Badger” for his fearless playstyle reminiscent of the resilient mammal.

During his time at LSU, Mathieu left an indelible mark on college football. His sophomore season was particularly illustrious, culminating in being named a consensus All-American, winning the Chuck Bednarik Award, and becoming a Heisman Trophy finalist. However, his college career took a tumultuous turn when he was dismissed from the LSU football program due to a violation of team rules.

Undeterred, Mathieu persevered and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. Reuniting with former college teammate Patrick Peterson, he quickly made his mark in the league, earning accolades such as Pro Bowl selections and multiple first-team All-Pro honors.
