Sarah Wilhite Parsons is a vastly talented American professional volleyball player, who plays extensively for the United States women’s national volleyball team. She currently also plays for the prestigious Japanese club NEC Red Rockets, with whom she recently secured bronze medals in the Empress’ Cup All Japan Volleyball Championship and Kurowashiki Tournament in 2021. On the international level, she was named Most Valuable Player at the 2019 NORCECA Champions Cup. She won gold medals with her national team at the 2017 and 2018 Pan-American Cups.
A stand-out athletic talent in her youth, she quickly became one of the strongest players in her home state of Minnesota, helping the collegiate team to a long-awaited appearance at NCAA Final Four in 2015 as well as 2016. She made such a huge impression that in 2017 she was named Minnesota’s Female Athletic of the Year and Breakthrough Athlete of the Year in 2017. Her professional career has led her to travel widely, playing for teams in Italy, Germany, Brazil and now Japan. She won gold medal with German club Allianz MTV Stuttgart in the 2018 German Bundesliga, and secured a silver in the German Cup of the same year.
