Júlia Bergmann is an accomplished outside hitter, representing Brazil at the Olympic Games and achieving numerous accolades in collegiate and professional volleyball. After leading the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in kills as a freshman, Júlia Bergmann immediately distinguished herself as a pivotal talent, earning Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Freshman of the Year and AVCA Region Freshman of the Year honors in 2019. Joining the collegiate team in 2019, she was also recognized as First Team All-ACC, setting the stage for a collegiate career marked by consistent high-level performance and immediate impact. Bergmann’s impact continued to grow, securing AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and All-AVCA East Coast All-Region team accolades in 2020, alongside another First Team All-ACC selection.
For her stellar play, she was named AVCA First Team All-American, ACC Player of the Year, and Volleyball Magazine First Team All-American, while topping the ACC in both points and kills and ranking 12th nationally in points and 13th in kills. That same year, she made her debut with the Brazil national team, earning a silver medal at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League tournament. Her exceptional form carried into 2022, where she was awarded AVCA Second Team All-American, VolleyballMag.com First Team All-American, AVCA East Coast All-Region, and yet another First Team All-ACC selection. With the Brazil national team in May 2022, she was selected for the 25-player roster for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League tournament, making a memorable impact as the highest scorer in kills during her first start as an outside hitter in their victory over Germany.
