Sarolta Kovács

Sarolta Kovács was born on March 12, 1991, in Tapolca, Hungary. She became a prominent figure in modern pentathlon, competing in various international events from a young age. Her career began to see notable success in junior categories, leading to her participation in senior competitions and eventually multiple Olympic Games. Early in her career, she secured gold medals at the European Junior Championships in Albena, Bulgaria in 2009, and both the UIPM Pentathlon Junior World Championships and Junior European Championships in 2011, establishing her as a formidable competitor in the sport.

Throughout her senior career, Kovács demonstrated consistent performance at the highest levels of modern pentathlon. A significant milestone occurred in 2016 when she won the individual gold medal at the UIPM Pentathlon World Championships in Moscow, despite having missed much of the competitive season due to injury. She also contributed to team gold medals at the World Championships in 2008 (relay), 2011 (relay), 2016 (team), and 2018 (team), showcasing her ability in both individual and team formats.
