Beyond his extensive radio commitments, Mills has made notable television appearances, including roles in ‘Casualty’ and ‘Hollyoaks’, and as a contestant on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Celebrity Race Across the World’. Mills has also dedicated his platform to significant charitable endeavors and received notable recognition. In 2011, he undertook the BT Charity Trek for Comic Relief, covering 100 kilometers across Kenya’s Kaisut desert.
In November 2022, he spearheaded a 24-hour treadmill challenge, raising over £1 million for Children in Need. His contributions were further recognized with an honorary Doctorate of Arts from Southampton Solent University in 2009, and by the naming of ‘The Scott Mills Bridge’ at Fleet services in 2016, underscoring his lasting impact both on and off air.
