Seb Morris, 29, from Chester, began his motorsport journey in go-karting, quickly demonstrating exceptional talent. He advanced through the UK motorsport ranks, culminating in a move to the Formula 1-supporting GP3 Series in 2015. Over his career, Morris has achieved significant milestones, including winning races and championships in top series like the British GT Championship, GT World Challenge, and Formula Renault. Notably, in 2010, at just 14 years old, he became the youngest ever podium finisher in Ginetta Juniors and went on to win the Ginetta Junior Winter Series. The following year, racing for Hillspeed, he secured the Ginetta Junior Championship by winning eleven out of twenty rounds, earning him the Welsh Young Driver of the Year accolade.
His career saw a transition to sportscar racing in 2016. In just his second year competing in sportscars, Morris claimed the British GT Championship title in 2017. That same year, he also won the Sunoco Challenge, which provided him with a prize drive in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, where he notably led for three hours during his stint. His achievements were further recognized in 2020 when he was named a factory Bentley driver. Morris has also been a member of the Caterham F1 Academy and was selected by Jack Wills as a Young Brit for their 2013/14 Autumn/Winter campaign. He has raced with notable teams such as Fortec Motorsport, Status Grand Prix, Team Parker Racing, JRM Racing, M-Sport Team Bentley, CMR, and Ram Racing across various championships.
Morris has competed in diverse series including the Formula Renault BARC (winning the Winter Series in 2012), BRDC Formula 4 Championship (finishing second overall in 2013), and Formula Renault 2.0 NEC. He has consistently demonstrated strong performance, securing multiple pole positions, fastest laps, and podium finishes throughout his career. His participation in high-profile events like the Rolex 24 At Daytona and the Intercontinental GT Challenge showcases his versatility and skill at an international level. Beyond his racing achievements, Morris has also participated in media, including a Sky Sports F1 documentary, “Britain’s Next F1 Star,” which offered an insight into his life as a young racing driver.
