Sellma Soul, also known as Ethan Watson, is a drag artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Born and raised in Australia, Ethan developed a background in musical theater, which provided a foundation for the performance skills later showcased in drag. This early involvement allowed for roles that often leaned into comedic or character-driven performances, which naturally transitioned into the theatricality of drag. Sellma Soul emerged as a professional drag persona, described by Ethan as “an entity of lust, horror and good times,” encompassing a diverse range of artistic expressions from singing and MCing to performance art.

During the blind auditions, Sellma performed Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night,” which led to coach Boy George turning his chair and inviting her to join his team.
