Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has established himself as a prominent midfielder in top European leagues and international competitions. After winning the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic went on to further cement his status as a formidable talent, receiving the Bronze Ball award at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which Serbia also won. He signed his first professional contract with FK Vojvodina on December 26, 2012, making his senior debut in November 2013. During the 2013–14 season, Milinkovic-Savic played 13 league games, scoring three goals, and was instrumental in Vojvodina winning the Serbian Cup in 2014.

His early career progression continued with a move to Belgian club Genk in June 2014, where he signed a five-year contract and played 24 league matches in the 2014–15 season, contributing five goals. Milinkovic-Savic’s exceptional performances led to his transfer to Italian powerhouse SS Lazio on July 31, 2015. Over eight seasons with the club, he made more than 300 appearances across all competitions, scoring 69 goals, establishing himself as Lazio’s highest-scoring midfielder on December 5, 2021. His tenure at Lazio was marked by significant team success, including winning the Coppa Italia in 2018–19 and the Supercoppa Italiana in both 2017 and 2019.

His consistent elite-level performance was acknowledged with his selection to the Saudi Pro League Team of the Season for both the 2023–24 and 2024–25 campaigns, highlighting his continued influence as a top-tier midfielder.
