Shan “Boody” Boodram is one of the world’s foremost intimacy educators, combining sexology and psychology to empower people to become more competent and confident when it comes to sex. She has a social media audience of well over a million, including nearly 700,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel, whose practical, informative content on sex, love, and relationships has been viewed more than 80 million times. She also hosts the hugely popular Lovers and Friends weekly podcast. Her dating advice book, The Game of Desire, was published in 2019.

Born in Canada of Caribbean, Irish, Dominican, East Indian, and Guyanese descent, Boodram first became interested in sex education in her late teens when she realised the paucity of honest, relatable resources. She decided to create some herself, but having moved to Los Angeles, she found that traditional media models didn’t fit what she wanted to do. So she joined YouTube and set her up the “Shan Boody” channel, making the kind of content she wanted to see. The channel became a huge success and helped to make her name as one of the internet’s best sexual educators.
